Amy Zientek, Visit Lubbock, (Left Center) Receives 2013 Rising Star Award
"The Rising Star award is such a great way to recognize the future leaders in our industry. I am so proud to have a recipient of this award on our team at The San Luis Resort. Richard See (2011 Rising Star Recipient) has been recognized by his peers and the leadership group at Landry's, Inc. and this has helped to position him on our radar for further advance within our company. Please take time to nominate our best of the best." - Paul Schultz, Vice President of Hospitality Landry's Hotel Division.
RISING STAR AWARD CRITERIA
Must be a TTIA member or an employee of a TTIA member organization
Nominee should be a young travel and tourism industry professional that a member organization would like to recognize for their outstanding accomplishments, and for their demonstration of leadership and commitment to the industry and TTIA.
To nominate a young professional for the Rising Star Award, the nominator must work at a TTIA member organization, preferably at the same organization as nominee, although it is not necessary.
Nomination and Selection Process:
A nomination form must be received to be considered for this award. In addition to the nomination form, please include materials that reflect the nominee’s accomplishments and eligibility for this award. For example, you may submit resumes, press clippings, letters of recommendation or any other information you feel should be considered. The nomination form and any supplemental information submitted by the nominator will be the only factors considered in the selection process. A selection committee will review those documents and choose an award recipient.
Nominations must be submitted on an official TTIA entry form (online available during nomination period or PDF) with examples of the nominee’s qualifications. Back up documentation for nominations may be attached to the online entry form (available during nomination period) or sent under confidential cover to the TTIA office in Austin by mail, fax or email and postmarked by the deadline.
The Rising Star Award is presented annually at the Texas Travel Summit Conference.
