TTIA has partnered with the Texas Association of
Convention and Visitor Bureaus (TACVB) and the Destination Marketing Association
International (DMAI) to ensure the most powerful program.
The program was
created because TTIA and its board of directors understand that the success of
the Texas Travel Industry begins in its individual communities. TTIA’s DMO’s are
the trusted stewards of the public funds dedicated by the state to promote
travel. It is important that each DMO has the full understanding and support of
its elected officials, city officials, stakeholders, and its citizens.
The program will provide the DMO CEO with the
essential tools necessary to educate local officials, stakeholders, and
citizens regarding the economic value of travel and tourism in their own
communities and the valuable role of the DMO.
