TTIA has partnered with the Texas Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus (TACVB) to ensure the most powerful program for DMO Executives.
DMO Empowered 2.0 is TTIA's brand-new program designed specifically for DMO Executives to help them overcome the various roadblocks to achieving an ongoing successful local advocacy program. This is a continuation of the original DMO Empowered program and is perfect for new and former program participants.
The new 2.0 program will provide the DMO Executive with the necessary tools essential to continually develop and improve their existing, or new advocacy plan and to learn new methods of implementation. In today's world, a successful local advocacy plan is a must.
DMO Empowered was
created because TTIA and its board of directors understand the success of
the Travel Industry begins in its individual communities. It is important that each DMO has the full understanding and support of
its elected officials, city officials, stakeholders, and citizens.
As a participant in this program, you will:
- Learn how to create, update, and move their local advocacy plan forward.
- Learn how to influence without authority.
- Learn new ways of interacting with stakeholders.
- Walk away with an updated version of your own advocacy plan and different ways to implement it.
|“The course made me see that even with years of experience, we all have the same problems and have to constantly have a proactive plan with our advocates, partners and staff. I felt privileged to be in the first DMO Empowered class, to be able to learn from giants in the industry and to be alongside such a seasoned group of Texas tourism professionals.”
