TTIA is pleased to announce that its regional tourism workshop series will return in 2009. These workshops are designed to help Texas communities foster the development and growth of tourism. The presenting sponsor for the workshop series will be the Texas Department of Agriculture's GO TEXAN program, which promotes the products, culture and communities of Texas.

July 15: Salado, TX
August 5: Nacogdoches, TX
August 26: San Angelo, TX
October 15: Seguin, TX November 4: Rockport, TX Who Should Attend: Local
governments, convention and visitor bureaus, chambers of commerce,
lodging facilities, attractions, restaurants, retail establishments and
others involved in local tourism. Each workshop will provide
information that benefits seasoned industry veterans and industry
newcomers, alike. Attendees will leave with new ideas and practical
tools.
Topics: Each
workshop will be an intense day with industry experts offering
stimulating and information-packed presentations and dynamic breakout
sessions, including the latest information and innovative tools and
strategies to help Texas communities build and sustain local tourism
success. Keynote presentations and break-out sessions will be
customized for each individual workshop based upon regional needs, and
will include topics such as: industry research, latest trends,
development strategies, funding opportunities, marketing, etc.
