Terry Berggren, Director of Destination Marketing for Ruf Strategic Solutions, will give us his insight and point of view on BIG DATA as it relates to the travel and tourism industry and the marketing efforts of Texas Tourism. Starting with a bird’s eye view of BIG DATA, Terry will refine his scope down to the state-level data to show what it reveals about the state’s marketing landscape. From there, Terry will narrow his scope even further down to the CVB-level data to ultimately show how demographics, lifestyles, media preferences and buying behaviors become actionable and market-worthy with a precisely focused approach.
