TTIA's Texas Transportation Council serves to represent the interests of the tour and travel-related transportation industry in Texas. |
The Texas Transportation Council encompasses a variety of transportation industry segments, including: airline, port, motor coach, automotive, rail, etc. The Council works to promote and advance the interests of Texas ' tour and travel-related transportation industry by providing leadership to address legislative issues, promote public and industry awareness, advocate safety and a code of ethics, as well as develop relationships with all related segments of the Texas travel industry. Council members also enjoy membership in TTIA.
The Texas Ground Transportation Council is a subset of the Texas Transportation Council, dedicated to supporting and representing the business and governmental interests of private, motor coach operators in Texas. The Council promotes the use of products, services, merchandise, education and systems to further advance the interests of its members. Membership Benefits
- A Unified Industry Voice – The Council serves as a collective voice on matters of interest and issues affecting its members. Members may leverage TTIA's respected legislative and public policy efforts, while effectively developing a strong advocacy for transportation-specific issues.
- Professional Ethics –Members adhere to a code of ethics that promotes professionalism and principled conduct while providing the traveling public with the highest level of operational safety, service quality and customer care.
- Professional Development – Members benefit from educational seminars and programs offered at TTIA's annual events, such as the Texas Travel Summit, the Texas Tourism Unity Dinner and the Fall Legislative Seminar. In addition, members benefit from educational sessions and training seminars held in conjunction with TTIA events that focus specifically on issues concerning the transportation industry.
- Networking – Council members are able to work closely with colleagues within the transportation industry to promote better understanding, camaraderie and mutual support through conferences, educational programs and social activities. As a Council of TTIA, members are also able to develop business relationships with other TTIA members that represent industry segments that sell and service transportation businesses, including: accommodations, attractions, convention and visitor bureaus, chambers of commerce, restaurants, suppliers, travel agencies, tour operators, and more.
