The Texas Tourism Foundation's purpose is to fund projects that benefit Texas, education, conservation, family travel and other meaningful programs.

Blanca Camargo is a graduate student at Texas A&M University. Blanca's major is in Tourism Sciences, and her primary area of interest is the conservation and promotion of cultural heritage. She is currently conducting her doctoral studies in the department of Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Sciences at Texas A&M University , which was the sponsoring organization.

Scott Clanton is a sophomore student at the Stephen F. Austin State University. Scott's major is in Hospitality Administration and minor in Business Administration. After graduation, he plans to work at a Convention & Visitors Bureau in sales and event planning. His mother works at the Port Aransas Chamber of Commerce/Tourist Bureau , which was the sponsoring organization.

Patricia Holm is a graduate student at Texas State University in San Marcos. Patricia's major is in History, and minor in Anthropology. Her goal is to work as Museum Preservationist to analyze, interpret, and restore material culture. Her spouse works at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department , which is the sponsoring organization.

Paul Fisher is a junior student at Baylor University. Paul's double-major is in Museum Studies/History. His goal is to educate the public about American history through the use of museum artifacts. His father works at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department , which was the sponsoring organization.

Mark Barros is a junior at the University of Texas in Austin. Mark's major is in Nutritional Science and minor in Biology Science. He has a passion for medicine and currently wants to become an orthopedic surgeon and be a role model for aspiring young natural science majors. Mark's father works at the San Antonio Area Tourism Council , which was the sponsoring organization.
