How to Leverage Recent Changes to Facebook’s AD Platform

Presented by Peter Ross, Co-Founder of 829 Studios LLC
Can you honestly say that you recruited new clients last year due to Facebook? Better yet, how many leads did Facebook get you? Of the traffic it referred back to your website, how many of those users actually went on to request information or sign up? For most companies, the answers to these questions are rather depressing. Despite investing an inordinate amount of time into social media, their return on investment is bleak. A number of innovative programs have begun to use Facebook a bit differently and the results are pretty unbelievable. During this session, we’ll take a sneak peek at the backend of these progressive Facebook marketing campaigns to determine how best to manage your business’s social media presence.

Session Takeaways:
• A framework on how to create a Facebook Avatar
• Introduction to using audience data to hone your Facebook ads
• How to determine the ROI of Facebook advertising

Best Practices for Live Events in the Post-Covid World
The future of the live events industry is plagued with uncertainty for event coordinators as they try to predict what the world will look like when they’re able to get back to the business of putting on festivals and other live events. Governor Abbott issued his Phase III Opening Guidelines stating that as of June 3rd outdoor events with an estimated attendance of over 500 people can resume in the state of Texas under a comprehensive set of guidelines and safety protocols. In addition to adhering to state policies, event coordinators are faced with the challenge of instilling a level of confidence in patrons to feel it is safe to return to our community celebrations.

When Will Our Kids Play Again?..... The Return to Play Survey.
Presented by Jon Schmieder, Founder + CEO of Huddle Up Group, LLC

In May of 2020, the Huddle Up Group set out to answer a very important question from a key audience. The Return to Play Survey asked parents when they would allow their kids to participate in sports again. Up to that point, published surveys had not specifically asked parents their opinion on this critical issue. The survey captured nearly 2,700 responses covering 42 states. The survey results offer event rights holders and host destinations specific insights as to when to anticipate kids returning to fields, courts, tracks and pools.

How to Hit a Home Run after a Big Strike Out with Scott Carley, the Change Energizer
Presented by Scott Carley,

We all intend to hit home runs professionally and personally. It doesn’t always happen that way…especially due to this Pandemic!

Striking out can take the wind out of you! It paralyzes the best of people until they recover. Quarantining all your customers, losing a contract, getting replaced at work, being beat by a competitor or someone in the office. And personally it can be a medical issues, divorce, the loss of a loved one, or Coronavirus.

Scott uses the story of Casey at the Bat to set the stage. It’s based on the 131 year-old reading from Earnest Thayer. As you might remember, the mighty Casey was the hope of the Mudville Nine to save their game. But after much ado in the batter’s box… Casey strikes out!

Scott tells his own story along with several other high profile personalities, and paints the picture that all significant success comes with lots of failures and disappointments. Elon Musk, Serena Williams, Jose Altuve, Tom Brady, Taylor Swift and others.

But winners keep on swinging.... regardless!

He will also share the Four Principles he used to recover and start hitting home runs again with my family and business.

“I was the Lead Salesperson at our company and I’ve had a really difficult time of late. Frankly… I’m not into ‘Motivational Speakers’. And when I heard that’s what was on the agenda… I almost didn’t come. But Scott’s vulnerability, transparency and authenticity in his big strike-out and recovery really spoke to me. I left feeling encouraged, hopeful and empowered!”
