TTIA is proud to introduce our first educational program designed to
improve the Texas DMO’s influence and staying power in their community.

It is designed by DMO’s for DMO CEO’s.

To Participate in this Program, You Must Commit to Attending ALL Three Sessions. Details Below.

TTIA has partnered with the Texas Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus (TACVB) and the Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) to ensure the most powerful program.

The program was created because TTIA and its board of directors understand that the success of the Texas Travel Industry begins in its individual communities. TTIA’s DMO’s are the trusted stewards of the public funds dedicated by the state to promote travel. It is important that each DMO has the full understanding and support of its elected officials, city officials, stakeholders, and its citizens. 
The program will provide the DMO CEO with the essential tools necessary to educate local officials, stakeholders, and citizens regarding the economic value of travel and tourism in their own communities and the valuable role of the DMO.

This program will allow each participant:
  1. To learn the importance of local advocacy and to understand their role as a DMO CEO in the community.
  2. To learn how to better tell their travel story to city council, to city managers, to a board of directors, to stakeholders, and to the community.
  3. To learn what their own local advocacy weaknesses are and how they can improve them.
  4. Each participant will walk away with their own tailor-made advocacy program for their DMO.

Program Details:

This program is only open to CEO’s whose DMO is a TTIA member and is limited to the first 36 CEO’s on a first-come, first-served basis.

Participants are required to attend ALL three (3) separate sessions during the remainder of 2015.  

Session I - Thursday & Friday, June 18-19, 2015 - Waco

Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 1 pm to 5 pm
Friday, June 19, 2015 from 8 am to 5 pm


Session II - Friday August 7 - TACVB Annual Conference - The Woodlands

Friday, August 7, 2015 from 8:15 am to 12:15 pm

Session III - Wednesday, September 23 - TTIA Travel Summit in San Antonio

Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm

The cost of the program is only $595 for all three (3) sessions.
