TTIA's Leadership Program is designed to take the future leaders in our industry to the next level in their careers. This year-long program consists of four hands-on sessions and varjous webinars that focus on developing leadership skills, building relationships, business management and advocacy.

Our Vision

TTIA’s vision is to develop leaders that will advocate for the industry on a local and statewide level, unify travel industry entities to create awareness and engagement in their region, act as mentors to new entrants into the industry, and promote the future of the travel industry in Texas.

TTIA's Leadership Program will focus on providing candidates with the education and tools they need to become active leaders in their organization and the travel industry. TTIA Leadership Candidates will gain:

  1. Leadership education and responsible business management skills to develop their career, grow their organization, and support the future of the travel industry;
  2. The knowledge and training to become a powerful advocate for their organization and the travel industry on a local and statewide level;
  3. Valuable networking opportunities and business relationships through Leadership sessions, activities and webinars; and
  4. Support and mentoring from recognized industry leaders.


Candidates for the leadership program must be a current TTIA member or employee of a TTIA member with at least five years of professional work experience in the travel industry.


TTIA'S Leadership Program Mentors

Executives & Managers: TTIA's Leadership Program also needs Mentors. Mentors will be matched with leadership candidates throughout the program to guide, provide support, and help build industry relationships. If you are a top level executive or department manager/director interested in cultivating the future of the travel industry, here's what you will be providing to our candidates:

  1. Mentors need to be in an established travel industry position as a top level executive or department manager/director and willing to commit to the following:
  2. Monthly phone calls and/or meetings with mentee are required for the entire length of the program (February - December).
  3. Encourage participation in TTIA events and make contact with mentee during events.
  4. Work with mentee to set goals and complete an evaluation at the end of the program.

TTIA's Leadership Program Details

TTIA's Leadership program will consist of four hands-on sessions and various webinars throughout the year. Space for the program is limited to 24 participants. Candidates must apply to earn a spot in the program. Applications requirements are listed below.

TTIA's Leadership Program Cost

The cost of TTIA's Leadership Program is $495 for TTIA members and $695 for non-members. Cost for the program includes all hands-on sessions and webinars. 

Payment will be requested upon acceptance to the leadership program.

To apply for TTIA's Leadership Program, complete and submit the application form. Candidates must also submit a current resume and one recommendation from a CEO, Director or supervisor that is in direct contact with the applicant and is a current TTIA member. Please note that only one recommendation is needed and only one will be considered in the application process

Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee appointed by the current TTIA Board of Directors Chair and TTIA Leadership Task Force Chair.
