Unity Dinner 2016 Silent Auction Donation Guidelines


Contribute to the 26th Annual Texas Travel Industry Unity Dinner
Silent Auction Fundraiser and Support TTIA’s Advocacy & Educational Efforts!



TTIA’s Silent Auction Fundraiser, held in conjunction with the annual Texas Travel Industry Unity Dinner on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, is our largest fundraiser of the year and directly supports the advocacy and educational efforts conducted on behalf of our members and the entire travel industry.  Much of TTIA's success depends upon your participation and support of the Unity Dinner and Silent Auction Fundraiser.

Silent Auction Categories and Descriptions:

1. Unique Experiences
Includes unique experiences or items that are not available to the public, including behind-the-scenes tours, one-of-a-kind specialty items, etc.

2. Travel & Accommodations
Includes such items as: hotel stay packages, golf packages, rental cars, airline tickets, spa packages, etc.

3. Media, Marketing & Business
Includes such items as: advertising, printing, consulting services and conference/seminar registration.

4. Merchandise, Sports Memorabilia & Collectibles
Includes such items as: electronics, jewelry, crystal, china, books, subscriptions, sports equipment, antiques, original handcrafted items, autographed items, and other miscellaneous tangibles.

5. Fun, Food & Entertainment
Includes such items as: attraction tickets, game tickets, theater tickets, restaurant certificates, shopping packages, wine and culinary delights, liquor products, specialty beers, gourmet food gift baskets, etc.

6. Art and Photography
Includes such items as: original art, limited edition prints, photography sessions, etc.




  • The deadline for including your item(s) in the catalog is 5:00 PM on January 22, 2016. After this date, items will be listed in an addendum sheet.
  • Items that are donated early may be posted on the TTIA website for additional promotion.
  • All details such as travel redemption dates, special conditions, special events or hotel stays with blackout dates and seasonal restrictions, and information necessary to redeem the package MUST clearly be stated on the certificate.
  • Hotel stays MUST be good for two consecutive nights and valid through February 2017.
  • Used items, unless qualified as antiques or personally autographed, are not acceptable.
  • Please contact the TTIA office if your item(s) weigh more than 50 pounds.
  • Donated items MUST be pre-assembled by the donor and include all necessary materials to redeem the prize, except for certificates and gift cards. All certificates and gift cards will need to be given to TTIA separately for security purposes. If packaged, please know TTIA will remove them from all baskets and other packaging.
  • TTIA will place items in the appropriate category and may combine items to create packages.
  • If you have special display needs, please supply all necessary equipment (easels for pictures, frames for one pagers, etc.) and indicate detailed instructions for setup and display on the donation form.
  • Please provide TTIA with one or two photographs to help promote your item/package. You may attach them to the form below or email photos to no later than February 9, 2016.
  • If you plan to bring your items the day of the Unity Dinner (February 23th), you MUST deliver these items to TTIA staff at the Auction Check-in/Drop-off area at the Austin Convention Center between 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Please DO NOT place items on auction tables as TTIA needs to check in the item.
  • If you cannot arrive by 4:00pm the day of the event, you must ship the item(s) to the TTIA office to be received no later than February 17, 2016.

TTIA appreciates your support of the 26th Annual Texas Travel Industry Unity Dinner and Silent Auction. It raises awareness and builds support of the Texas travel and tourism industry. Funds raised through the Silent Auction are used to support our Advocacy efforts, public policy initiatives and TTIA programs and education projects.
