RISING STAR AWARD
"The Rising Star award is such a great way to recognize the future leaders in our industry. I am so proud to have a recipient of this award on our team at The San Luis Resort. Richard See (2011 Rising Star Recipient) has been recognized by his peers and the leadership group at Landry's, Inc. and this has helped to position him on our radar for further advance within our company. Please take time to nominate our best of the best." - Paul Schultz, Vice President of Hospitality Landry's Hotel Division.
RISING STAR AWARD CRITERIA
Must be a TTIA member or an employee of a TTIA member organization
Nominee should be a young travel and tourism industry professional that a member organization would like to recognize for their outstanding accomplishments, and for their demonstration of leadership and commitment to the industry and TTIA.
To nominate a young professional for the Rising Star Award, the nominator must work at a TTIA member organization, preferably at the same organization as nominee, although it is not necessary; and nominee’s supervisor must support the nomination.
Nomination and Selection Process:
A nomination form must be received for a nomination to be valid. In addition to the nomination form, please include materials that reflect the nominee’s accomplishments and eligibility for this award. For example, you may submit resumes, press clippings, letters of recommendation or any other information you feel should be considered. The nomination form and any supplemental information submitted by the nominator will be the only factors considered in the selection process. A selection committee will review those documents and choose an award recipient.
Nominations are now closed for 2018.
The Rising Star Award is presented annually at the Texas Travel Summit conference.
